Production Manager

Job Title: Production Manager

Fusion3 ( is looking for an experienced and motivated production manager to join our team as we expand our manufacturing operations at our Greensboro, NC factory. The Production Manager is responsible for all manufacturing operations, from inventory ordering to shipping finished product to the customer. This person directly supervises the manufacturing team and ensures the smooth flow of product through the production floor: on spec, on budget, and on schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

· Responsible for setting and meeting the weekly and monthly production schedule based on agreement with Sales Team’s forecast and input

· Hire, manage, mentor, train, and provide performance feedback to all direct reports

· Define and display metrics collected by employees that show progress towards improvement targets. For example, reject rate, on-time shipment, quality control issues.

· Coordinate with Supply Chain Manager to monitor and control inventory levels

· Instill a culture of continuous improvement throughout the production process

· Define and implement (with Management team approval) a discipline policy

· Work with Cell Leads and technicians to identify and implement process improvements

· Plan demand forecasts and production ramp-ups with Management and Sales team

Required Experience / Job History:

· Experience managing a team of 5+ individuals on a day-to-day basis

· Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks to direct reports, train them on the proper procedures, and motivate & ensure successful completion of specific volume of work output

· Experience in a manufacturing environment (precision electronics, low-med volume preferred)

· Proven ability to meet productivity and quality goals in a manufacturing environment

· Comfortable working with Windows PCs, MS office, hosted software (Gmail, Google Sheets, DropBox, etc)

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

Recommended & Preferred Experience:

· 2 or 4 year college degree

· Industrial engineering degree or other engineering degree preferred

· Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining lean manufacturing methodologies / processes

· Experience defining and implement QA policies and procedures


· Salaried / exempt position

· Salary range $65,000 – $85,000 depending on experience

· End-of-year bonus, dependent on company’s and individual performance over the year

Sales & Marketing Associate

Job Title: Sales & Marketing Associate

Position Summary: The Sales & Marketing Associate is a key contributor to the company’s Sales & Marketing team which is focused on building awareness, consideration and sales of its 3D printers. The sales process at Fusion3 is a bit different than other companies. No high-pressure tactics here, a salesperson’s role is more like a customer service representative. While your compensation will have a variable commission component, it’s the role of the sales associate to help the customer understand the capabilities of Fusion3’s printers, help them understand its benefits vs. competition and take their order if there is the right fit for the customer.

Job Responsibilities:

· Managing opportunity pipeline: Leads are assigned to the associate who is expected to follow-up to drive interest and engagement in company’s products. Associate will also be the primary point of contact for inbound inquiries via Phone, email, and online chat.

· Customer Service: Responding to engaged customer questions, researching and responding with information, print samples and arranging product demonstrations.

· Marketing Materials: Work with thought leaders across the Fusion3 team to develop marketing content (photos, video, written content) and manage distribution for use in a wide variety of activities (website, marketing collateral, newsletters, social media)

· Trade Shows: Part of team representing company at trade shows; pre & post event logistics, including set-up, teardown and be part of exhibiting team (demonstrating product and answering customer questions)

· Resellers: Assist resellers on current sales opportunities and ensure regular communication with resellers (1:1 and via mass mailings) to ensure engagement and drive sales opportunities

Required Skills and Experience

· 2 or 4-year college degree, major in business or communication a bonus

· 2 years of experience in sales & marketing (paid or intern) with a technology focused company

· Excellent listening skills & pleasant personality

· Ability to learn and master technical concepts (experience with 3D printing not required)

· Exceptional written and verbal skills

· Strong attention to detail and drive for results

· Ability to work collaboratively, yet motivated to work independently and complete tasks with minimum of management

· Expertise in working with Windows PCs, MS office, hosted software (Gmail, Google Sheets, DropBox, etc)

· Ability to travel up to 5%

Manufacturing Technician

Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

The Successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, experience with assembly, troubleshooting, test and repair of electromechanical systems. The position requires skill using hand and power tools in assembling complex systems which include motion controllers, motors, mechanical assemblies, electronics and wiring.

The successful candidate will also:

  • Possess the ability to work in team environments
  • Able to learn quickly
  • Able to accept feedback and encouragement from managers, team leaders and co-workers
  • Work well under pressure

Job Description: Job responsibilities include:

  • Assembling electromechanical systems which include PCBs, power supplies, stepper motors, housings, enclosures and associated assembly and wiring.
  • Configuring and verifying subassemblies and final product. Testing of subassemblies and products.
  • Documenting and correcting any problems or issues found during assembly or testing.
  • Troubleshooting in-process and product-level defects.
  • Identifying and implementing product & process improvements to improve quality and efficiency.

Compensation: Hourly (Overtime Eligible), based on education and experience

3D Printer Operator

Job Title: 3D Printer Operator

Fusion3 is seeking a part-time 3D printer operator to run sample prints for prospective customers and to execute our material testing processes.

 Job responsibilities include:

  • Sample Prints:
    • Maintain and update spreadsheet of sample prints
    • Operate printer for production of samples
    • Work with peers to ensure best quality and repeat prints as necessary with improvements
    • Create reports and take pictures of finished prints to be provided to customers
    • Work with peers in company for Quality Assurance and Shipping of sample parts
  • Material Testing:
    • Maintain list of materials in testing queue
    • Follow material testing protocol, providing updates to management
    • Communicate with material manufacturers to resolve issues discovered in testing
  • Maintain 2 or more Fusion3 3D Printers that are used regularly for these tasks
  • Other tasks as required while printers are running


Skills / Experience:

  • Experience in operating 3D printers or strong aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to work in a self-directed manner
  • Pleasant personality, enjoys collaborating with other employees
  • Use of MS Windows computers and productivity software (Google Docs, MS Office, Gmail)
