What are the most common materials used in 3D printers? | Fusion3

The most common material used for 3d printing is PLA due to the large number of inexpensive, open-framed consumer 3D printers that cannot retain any heat. PLA, however, is very brittle and not useful for most commercial applications requiring strength.

For commercial applications, the most commonly used materials are ABS, Nylon, ASA, Polyesters and Polycarbonate and materials reinforced with Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass and Kevlar.
