3D Printing in Infra-Red!
We recently had the opportunity to take some pictures of the F306 printing with a FLIR infra-red camera.
This unique technology uses the infra-red spectrum to detect and display radiated heat given off by objects. You can clearly see the molten plastic cooling as it is deposited by the print head. It’s a great way to visually see how much of 3D printing is a thermal process, even though it doesn’t look like it to the naked eye.
