MICROPHONE HOLDER 3D PRINTED IN POLYCARBONATE
COMMENTARY:
Polycarbonate (PC) is the highest strength, highest temperature resistance material printable below 300*C (3D printers that do not print in what is effectively an actively heated chamber / oven).
Developed for injection molding, PC has fantastic attributes, but is not suited well for 3D printing and unpredictable when printed in an environment <90*C in sizes greater than 3″x3″x3″.
However, if you can stay below that size, you can get great, predictable and repeatable results with the F410. One of our customers sells a musical accessory for capturing audio with a microphone from a harmonica, and for a time did production runs of his product with Polycarbonate with his Fusion3 3D printers. These parts are strong, ultra-durable and lightweight with very little warp.
